The Spiritual Significance of Katydids... is it a sign?

There are insects all around, all the time - except for during the Winter here in the Northeast... and then again, sometimes in the winter if the house is warm enough and we bring the firewood inside to dry a bit we get an ant or two that will rouse from their slumber to investigate... we don't take that as a spiritual sign - just a sign of a warm house and ant filled logs.

BUT - this past two weeks we have had a remarkable visitor - repeatedly onto our front porch.  Since the majority of signs in my life come in the form of those darling 4-6-8 legged critters, I am pretty good at recognizing who's who in the insect and arachnid kingdom... when my husband called me out on the porch and said... what the heck is that?  I said... OH, that's a Katydid... they have been around a lot this past week... and he said.... I DON"T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I SAW ONE THIS CLOSE TO THE HOUSE.... That gave me pause, and then I thought about it a bit more... and I realized, he was right!  Though we hear them often enough in the evening, they are fairly shy and are not among those that are drawn to the light of the front porch.... which led me to wonder... are they a sign?

Yesterday I was home sick, and in my musings from the couch I noticed that there were a couple of Katydids on the window, during broad daylight!  So I looked them up and here is what I found - and it certainly makes sense to where my business and my personal self are at this moment.

Katydid:

Katydid teaches attunement to new vibrations and will aid in heightening intuition, sensitivity and awareness. They teach transformation in five stages as part of the molting process. Is it time to shed old ideas to make way for the new? Expect changes and new developments that will bring growth through reflection and patience as the sensitivity to mental, emotional and physical challenges are coming are your way. Katydids also teach the art of camouflage and the ability to evolve and use many survival techniques. Are you adapting to your surroundings? Are you blending in or standing out? Katydid will aid in strengthening senses and perceptions of the seen and unseen so whatever transformation stage you are in will be a time to be aware; mentally and spiritually sharp

what the heck is a Katydids again??? Is it a type of cricket?

A Katydid is a type of grasshopper that is native to North America... and it is the MALE who says KatyDID in the night... tee hee

And thank you for posting the image. I am a visual person and when i look to the spiritual meanings of animals and bugs that come in my life, i do tend to Google search for their spiritual significance also.
What i also like to do is to note their coloring, size and contribution to the environment!
That said, your mr. Cricket(catydid) is such a beautiful green color that i cannot help but to share my input that when looking for a spiritual significance, you might also want to take this into consideration:
Green is the color of health and abundance. Based on the above meaning for cricket. It is my interpretation that this message pertains to your ability to manage all of your money resources and transform them into abundance in your life.

Many Thanks for your insight Michelle!  This is a message that I needed.  I am in such a happy place with my life right now - excited to see where this adventure will lead.  I must say that Since Friday night I feel that there are no obstacles, only lessons and each lesson helps me to thrive!
