Ouija Boards have been around for decades now and although I think it is difficult to find the well known board from the 80's that resembles the highly recognized spirit board used in the movies (FUN FACT - I was able to find 66 movies that feature the Ouija Board. One dating all the way back to the 1940's!).
I personally believe that, when used properly the Ouija Board can be a great tool for communicating with deceased loved ones and spirit guides. In fact, I talk about in my book "Playing Charades with the Deceased". It took me a long time to get there though and to truly understand how powerful of a tool it actually is!
When I was younger, I didn't really understand how to properly use one and unfortunately brought a lot of "unwanted guests" into the home, resulting in lots of poltergeist activity. My mother eventually threw the planchette away...
What experiences have you had with the Ouija Board? Do you believe it is a good tool or just a bad one that opens the door to evil?

My son and I purchased a used Parker Brothers Ouija Board at a yard sale for 50c in 1995 or 96... We used it together a year later and discovered some interesting facts about the land we live on. I was able to research and confirm these facts with town records!!!
I don't use the Ouija often, but more because It's not my "goto"... but I agree that this is a powerful tool for spirit communication. I also feel that it must be treated with respect and care when used.
A girlfriend and I used one when we were high school a long time ago. And it spelled out the name of the man she would marry and she wasn't even his friend at that time since he had already graduated Quite a surprise years later when they were ready to marry.
Haven't used one since but they do give interesting insights.
I agree that used with respect and awareness, it can be a useful tool. It is, however, only one of many tools. I have been told we cannot ask a question to which we do not already know the answer. So then, we need to find ways of accessing the answer that is already inside us, waiting to be uncovered. There are many ways to do that. Why not play with different methods that present themselves?
