Hello All!
I am fresh in from tonight's ritual; The Magickal Hokey Pokey. As I do with all my public rituals, I spent a bit of time explaining the ritual and what we were going to do - I did give a brief tutorial, and then we went right into 5 minutes of complete bliss and frivolity!
Where did the Magickal Hokey Pokey originate? I'm glad you asked... like most people, I take a tune that gets stuck in my head and change the words to suit a mood. I had some students graduating from my Basics of Witchcraft class, and they were really nervous about practicing on their own, worried that they wouldn't remember everything, nervous that they would "screw it all up". I created the magickal hokey pokey as a way to help them graduate with a positive outlook and to be fearless.
I changed the words to be more general for tonight's ritual - this is the version that I give to people who want to shift energy for themselves for any situation.
